I remember watching The Price is Right when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s and at the end of every show, his famous sign-off was “…Have Your Pet Spayed or Neutered”. He has made a great impact in making us aware of the huge problem in this country with pet overpopulation and animal rights.
Back then, I didn’t realize the importance of his words, but have since become very involved in animal rescue.
I hope you will take the time to watch this YouTube video that discusses his impact as well as the ongoing importance of this subject.
As one of the founders of a local animal rescue group in Greeley, Colorado, I extend a sincere THANK YOU to Bob and all the celebrities that have campaigned for the rights of those beings (mainly 4-legged) that can’t speak for themselves.

Hi Anita. tis is a great blog I wish you well with your animals. My son drives a horse van to pick up abused or neglected or unwanted horses for the Second Chance Ranch here in Ct. the animals really do need some one to speak for them. Charlotte

Very good video. I think animal “rights” are not on the same level as human rights, but we should take very good care of our pets.
I can still remember my sister calling our dog her “sister”.

Thanks for your advocacy on behalf of animals. I personally love animals and the world would be a much sadder place without them. I wish you success with your Blog!

Hi Anita,
Good job on your blog. My daughter will likely follow in your footsteps. At this point, she thinks she wants to be a veterinarian. We have not allowed the kids to have a pet larger than a hamster (a dwarf one at that) at this point but the pressure keeps getting stronger. Keep up the great work!
